Oak swill baskets are traditionally made in the Lake District. They are strong, durable, oval baskets made by weaving thin strips of coppiced oak around a hazel rim.
Owen Jones sells his baskets at a number of fairs and events throughout the year, he also takes commissions. If you fancy a go at making an oak swill yourself then why not attend one of Owen Jones' workshops.
